🎶 This Hanukkah, I brought (unused 😆) crab mallets (tiny wooden hammers) and jingle bell sticks into music to enhance meaning and engagement sharing Ellen Allard’s song “Judah Maccabee, the Hammer”! 🕎✨

The nickname “The Hammer” (HaMakabi) comes from the Hebrew word makav (מַקַּב) and symbolizes Judah’s strength, intention, and leadership during the Jewish revolt against the Seleucid Empire. While singing, the kids tap their “hammers” to the beat and aimed for the “nails” on their jingle sticks, building fine motor skills, rhythm, and musicality—all while celebrating Judah’s inspiring story!
