In order to understand where we are, we must reflect on where we’ve been and how we got here. Jewish learning in America has been approached through a variety of means: private tutors, Sunday Schools, Sabbath Schools, Talmud Torah Schools, and congregational schools have each provided varying types of supplementary Jewish education in America.
