I poured so much into @SongleadingForKiddos this year...and this reviews are so validating (especially since membership isn't growing as I hoped, we hit a plateau and I'm seeking suggestions about ways to get the word out- if you nurture the next generation in song, I can lighten your load and lift your leadership. Please spread the word, let me know if you have feedback, and keep up the good work sharing songs with kiddos!
The "Shabbes Shake" by Jason Mesches is SO MUCH fu The "Shabbes Shake" by Jason Mesches is SO MUCH fun, have a peek in the room at a Family Shabbat sing-along at a Conservative congregation. Kiddos engaged. Grown ups singing. Everyone moving together.
The recording does much of the work, and as the songleader I am freed up to read the room and respond to kiddos individually, which I can't do with my words when I'm singing.
Tune by the brilliant @jasonmesches, used with gratitude.
This clip is one moment from a much larger library. Inside Songleading For Kiddos, hundreds of modeling videos like this one are organized by content area into 21 curriculum units across the Jewish year. Every video is paired with a songleader guide that breaks down song structure, teaching tips, and developmental rationale, so the song is ready-to-teach tomorrow. The full library lives exclusively inside the Squad, learn more www.dremilycelebrates.com/supportsquad
Sharing songs this summer? Create a playlist and a Sharing songs this summer? Create a playlist and a QR code to spread the music and movement in your camp community! Families attending the camp where I'll be leading these song will get this via email before camp begins, which can help them feel prepared when they join us soon! Plus, if you are curious what kind of songs i'll be sharing, you can scan and check it out- there are lots of secular tunes in the collection, I want to provide songs to families that they'll know and love in addition to expanding their Jewish music repertoire.
Two Jews, three opinions? Not this time.😮 I survey Two Jews, three opinions?
Not this time.😮
I surveyed the Songleading For Kiddos Support Squad at our six-month mark. The results were unanimous. 100% feel more confident as a Jewish music educator. 100% save time in planning. 100% say it's worth the investment. This is what happens when educators get more than song lists. They get a system: curriculum units, session plans, teaching guides, developmental framing, and ongoing support. The weekly scramble becomes a 20-minute planning session.
