Supporting the development of Jewish identities & communities.

Children’s behavior is often interpreted through lenses of compliance or disruption rather than development, leading to reactive responses and missed opportunities for learning and growth. Without a developmental framework, educators and leaders may struggle to respond with clarity and confidence.

This workshop reframes behavior as communication and supports participants in using developmental knowledge to guide facilitation and leadership decisions. Participants explore how understanding developmental milestones and capacities can transform responses to behavior and strengthen educational practice.

Objectives

• Identify major domains of child development
• Recognize developmental and behavioral milestones
• Interpret behavior through a developmental lens
• Apply developmental insight to leadership decisions
